How are Gas Index prices collected?

We combine four data sources: the EIA's weekly survey data (back to 1990), Google Places API station-level prices, AI voice agents that call gas stations directly, and crowdsourced photo submissions from users.

Photos: Images uploaded through the Contribute feature, along with optional station name, price, and caption.
